BOLD Invites Formula Students for an Exciting Open Day: A Gateway to the Formula Student Program

Attention all Formula Students! BOLD is thrilled to announce an exhilarating open day event tailored just for you. As a company deeply passionate about fostering talent and innovation, we are excited to extend this opportunity to connect with aspiring engineers and enthusiasts in the world of Formula Student racing. We’re offering stand-out candidates a place on our Formula Student Graduate Program, starting Q3 2024!

🕙 10:00am – 14:30pm approx.

📍BOLD HQ, Carrer del Rec Molinar, 5, 08160 Montmeló, Barcelona

We have a variety of permanent positions available within the following roles:

  • Project leader: Handling of the Project execution, interface between company and customer, managing team resources
  • Principal Engineer: Proficient in a specific engineering field
  • Mechanical Design Engineer: Concept design, 3D design, 2D design, design for manufacturing, all based on CAD software
  • Composite Design Engineer: Concept design, 3D design, 2D design, design for manufacturing, all based on CAD software
  • Aero Surface Design Engineer: Collaborate with CFD to transform aerodynamic theories into intricate CAD models
  • HW Engineer: Circuit simulation, Altium PCB design, Harness design, PCBA testing definition, EE components selection
  • SW Engineer: Microcontroller programming in C/C++, Model Base Design with MATLAB/Simulink, SIL/HIL testing
  • FEA Engineer: Virtual validation, case studies with isotropic and orthotropic materials, static and dynamic, all based on CAE software

What can you expect?

  • 10:00-10.15 – Introductions
  • 10:15-10:45 – Insightful presentations on our company from CEO Bernat Carreras
  • 10:45-12:30 – Split into smaller groups with niche interests for a comprehensive design office and manufacturing facility tour
  • 12:30-13:00 – Break for refreshments and questions
  • 13:00 – 14:30 – Quick fire interviews

What do we expect from you?

  • Please note, this event has limited spots available and the deadline to register interest is Wednesday the 26th of June.
  • Pre-event: Please apply for the Formula Student Program on our website and register in the form at the bottom of this page, we will be screening applications and link submissions and sending out official invitations to a select number of candidates.
  • During the event: Quick-fire interview rounds.
    • Interviews 20 minutes long
    • During interviews, candidates Formula Student experience and technical knowledge will be assessed

What’s next?

We have a number of open roles to fill with the view to starting in Q3 2024 (start date dependent on department and/or projects. Offers will be made to successful candidates following the technical assessment.
