What made you interested in a career in aviation?
As a child, I was captivated by aircraft, at their ability to soar through the sky like birds and allow a breathtaking perspective of the world from above.
What's your career background?
I started my career in maintenance for one of Switzerland’s largest helicopter operators. Five years in, I decided to study to become an engineer. In my first job after qualifying, I worked on projects related to avionics integration, cockpit upgrades and mission equipment on civil and military aircraft. I later joined a start-up to work on electric propulsion systems, focusing on certification aspects for products and for the organisation itself.
Where has your career taken you over the years?
I was based in Switzerland and had the privilege of taking trips all over Europe for various work projects. One remarkable opportunity gave me the chance to travel all the way to Australia. Now I’m excited to embark on this new adventure in Barcelona.
What's the biggest challenge you've faced so far?
My biggest challenge was being tasked with transforming a fledgling start-up into a fully accredited aviation company. The intricate process of attaining airworthiness demanded perseverance and dedication. From establishing meticulous procedures to aligning them with our organisational vision, to subjecting our work to rigorous audits and on-site evaluations, every step required immense effort and patience.
I’m proud to say I led this transition successfully and look forward to my next challenge at BOLD.
What's your favourite thing about Barcelona so far?
My favourite thing about Barcelona is the diversity in landscapes. Mountains, beaches, green parks and a bustling city, there’s something for everyone.
What made you interested in a career at BOLD?
BOLD's determination to bring cutting-edge technology from F1 and motorsport to a broader market, particularly aviation, was very intriguing to me. When I saw the job description, paired with BOLD's values, I immediately thought to myself, "Yes, this is the perfect fit for me."
What are you looking forward to working on at BOLD?
I’m looking forward to expanding my horizons and sharing my knowledge and experience with other innovators. BOLD's dynamic and forward-thinking environment offers an ideal platform for my personal and professional growth.
